Enhance Your SCP Browsing with SCPper
SCPper, developed by FiftyNine, is a handy Chrome extension designed to improve your browsing experience on the SCP Foundation wiki site and its translation branches. This free add-on offers several customizable features that enhance the functionality of the site.
One of the key features of SCPper is the conversion of plain text references, such as SCP-1234, into clickable links that direct you to the respective articles. This makes it easier to navigate and explore the SCP Foundation wiki. When reading an article, SCPper adds the name of the article from the main list to the title, as well as additional information such as contributors and the date of posting to the footer.
In addition, SCPper overrides the default forum behavior, allowing forum pages to be added to the browser history. This enables seamless navigation through forum threads using the Next and Previous buttons. Furthermore, SCP article links are enhanced with tooltips that display the article name, providing additional context.
SCPper supports various SCP projects, including the original SCP Foundation site and its translation branches in Korean, Chinese, French, Polish, Spanish, Thai, Japanese, German, Italian, Ukrainian, Brazilian Portuguese, Czech, and Traditional Chinese. However, it's worth noting that some features may not work on certain branches due to formatting differences.
For those interested, the SCPper extension is available on GitHub under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 license. The source code and all resources are openly distributed, aligning with the collaborative nature of the SCP creative community.
